Amman, Jordan

Who are you?

Somehow God called us from different continents to live in the Middle East. That’s where we met.

We don’t speak much Arabic. But we trust in the Holy Spirit and in translated worksheets to be able to bring fruit there :-)

There are three more people we would like to have in our team. They are students who already had their letters of acceptance to come to Jordan for several months – but because of the current situation, it’s not clear if they’ll be able to go at all.

What do you want to see?

People getting free from all their "baggage". From fear, from anger, from all their emotional wounds. From so many constraints.

Disciples who become bold enough to share these miracles. Who get trained and start to train others.

Groups which grow into teams, and teams full of love. Where it won’t matter anymore in which kind of culture someone grew up.

And after two years, the first steps outside of Amman.

How did you get this Idea?

In the beginning of 2017 some people went there for the first time. Surprised by how cold it is in the houses in winter! Determined to still go out and pray for people.

That was supposed to be a one-shot thing. But then we met people living there and stayed in touch. And then God said it was time to go the next time. And then the next and the next and so we continue going. Each time some friends come along, and we have met more people in Amman that have opened their doors for us.

What challenges do you expect?

Most people there believe in God, but few have ever experienced Him. Some are religious one way, the others are religious the other way round. Jesus would probably deal with both groups in the same way, but they don’t get along with each other well. Which doesn’t make things easier.

With these groups we are starting with basic concepts like: honoring each other in our communication; thinking about next steps; mentoring; and equipping everyday people to do the same things that Jesus did. All of which are things not usually seen there.

What are you going to do?

Well we still pray that the three can go live there for a few months.

As a team we want to travel there twice a year. Additionally, we’ll do online trainings for people there and pray together regularly.

We’re working on more good worksheets for the purpose of equipping everyday Jordanian people even more.
